Beautiful But Such A Pest DSC_5587

What a thrill to see my honey eater at number 5 in TT. Thank you all for your wonderful support.
The arum lilies are in bloom in the wet areas They are beautiful, but they're a declared pest in Western Australia. If left uncontrolled they spread rapidly around creeks and summer-moist areas in our south west. These were on the road verge but the bushland just off the road was thick with them.
Beautiful

Fabulous shot of these lovely lilies. It is forbidden to pick them here which is rather strange ;-)

Interesting how something so pretty can be declared a pest - they're lovely but I'm guessing they grow too well?

they do make wonderful displays. they too grow wild here, but I think they are fast on the endangered list, so picking is forbidden
