Helms Forestry Reserve is well known in Esperance for its wildflower displays so we drove out for a look. I was very excited to find beautiful sun orchids beside the road and then we found the spider orchids. I love the "faces" in the sun orchids. We also found beautiful enamel orchids, cowslips and vanilla orchids. Many of the bushes were also in bloom. It was a wonderful way to spend the morning.
I am an Orchid freak and nearly choked on my muesli when I saw this. Half your luck. A lot of photographers lying on the ground or crouched with bum up to photograph wildflowers.
