It also hangs uneaten food in the fork of a branch or impaled on a twig (their 'larder') and comes back to eat the leftovers later.
He is gorgeous. We have a family of butcher birds in our garden too. Mr, Mrs and youngster. The youngster must now be a teenager and Mr and Mrs have a new baby
