The Avon River_DSC1185

We drove up to the Swan Valley for lunch and then continued on to Walyunga National Park. The Avon Descent, an annual canoe and power boat race, passes through this area of the park. The Descent is a 124 km race down the Avon River, from Northam to Perth
I like your capture of the turbulent water.

Do yo know I have never seen the water flowing along the rapids of the Avon. Maybe next year. :)

@deborah63 It's lovely up there at the moment. Graham used to compete as a paddler in the late 70s and early 80s and would have loved to have had a canoe up there yesterday, so that he could play in the rapids.
