One of our favourite parts of the south west of Western Australia was devastated by fire at the end of 2021. We drove along Caves Road to see what was left of our glorious karri forest. The sight that opened up before us almost brought us to tears. We were extremely relieved to see signs of new growth popping out on the tree trunks and the scorched ground.
