So, besides winning the event, we won the Engineering Inspiration award, which is sort of a big deal. It was announced right as we were getting off the field receiving the blue banner and all I heard was Battle of the Bay, I turned around to the screen and said what?! Saw that we won another award and we went back on the field. We got medals for this award too. Anywho, I read the blurb that they read and it said that we qualify to present to win this award again at district champs. I was thinking, holy cow, this was my work with the chairman's/awards team. The word is this is "second place" chairman's but first does not put it that way. It basically means, you are chairman's caliber, just need to do some more work for it...the judges want to see a bit more! So we get to do this again at UNH in 2 weeks....we can still go for chairman's, but not qualified for the award we just won. We are pretty much locked in for district champs at this point. So, my chairman's team will get to present our presentation again at district champs for the district engineering inspiration award winner.
