Don't know the reason, but there has not been one bird in the area all day except for this robin. Guess he didn't get the word about the evacuation.

Great capture. Is the mottled breast because it is a juvenile? It looks very different from our Northern robins.

@falcon11 I wondered about that - or whether he was fluffed out from the wind - but I've noticed lately some showing far more rust coloring in the breast and some rather light colored. I hadn't thought about age being the difference - could be.
