Still waiting for the big boys!

Still very few of the larger butterflies - just the common buckeye - pretty markings, though.

@lepi What I'm watching for are the swallowtails - they seem to be late this year - I'd say they are twice as large as these butterflies - about 4-5" across.

Excellent focus on this buckeye. I like the contrast to the bright green grass. Nothing much happening here with regard to butterflies. I saw one or two....but the flowers are all ready to burst.

They may call them 'common' but they sure are beautiful. I have finally seen a couple of 'tiger swallowtails' float thru my yard....but they are on a mission and I had no flowers blooming to offer them.
