Silver Spotted Skipper

Going to have to find me some of whatever this flower is!
You need to go back when it has gone to seed and gather some to plant! I like these little skippers....they have such big eyes!

@lynnb Thanks for the idea, Lynn. I will definitely do that. Is there anything special I need to do with them?

@milaniet I don't think so....you could plant them in the fall so that they get a natural winter, or maybe in your fridge or cold cellar if you have one. I really am not sure what they would need.

What wonderful colours!
If the plant is growing freely in the wild, I would think that replicating the conditions in which the seed germinates and grows would be the answer if you want to grow some yourself?

What an unusual flower. Your silver spotted skipper is sipping sideways--try that three times fast! NIce detail and color as always.

Found out that the plant is from the horsemint family.
