The cedar waxwings must be passing through. Saw a lot of flying back and forth between 2 trees at the top of the trail after my encounter with the crawdad and thought at first the robins were busy. When I got closer I was pleasantly surprised to find these beautiful birds (of course sitting at the very top and nothing but grey skies).
