Visited Crystal Bridges Art Museum today and was intrigued by this called "Swatch" by Mike Baird. Looks like a piece of tapestry, but it's actually hundreds (thousands?) of tiny 1/4"x1/2" pieces of repeated photos cut into little strips and assemble in this pattern. Talk about patience! Up close you can see the design in each individual tiny piece.
After reading your story behind this image, I can appreciate the time this piece would have taken. I thought it was a tapestry at first. Thanks for sharing.
