While having a picnic lunch on White Rock Mountain, I ran into a boy I taught 35 years ago who is now a director of a Senior Center in NW Arkansas. He asked if he could take a picture of Bill and I - gave in - though I prefer to be on the other side of that camera.
Milanie, this is an absolutely fabulous picture of you and your husband! It would look great in a frame! That gorgeous stone wall, perfect blue sky studded with puffy clouds, incredible view, and your smiling faces...wonderful!
@janetb What sweet words, Janet. Made me feel awfully good. I was happy that we were able to go back there - Bill had a stroke 2-1/2 years ago and still has no feeling on the left side of his body - so trips like this aren't as frequent as they use to be. But we sure enjoy every minute that we're out - and grateful for it!
Share your feeling about the wrong side of the camera. Nice to see the whole of you. How did you 'run into' someone you taught 35 years ago and remember him ?? I can't remember what I had for lunch. Fav
A beautiful picture and location, some dear friends of mine got married at the top of White Rock Mt. 14 years ago almost to the day, so I share your happy memories of this place.
Lovely to meet you Milanie :) This is a great photo from all aspects - great scene, colours, setting, composition, positioning and beautiful subjects :)
@milaniet Milanie, I'm happy that you were able to make it back there; and what a blessing it was that the man took a picture of the two of you. Now you'll always have it as a wonderful remembrance of your visit back! I'm glad to read that you both still get out a bit despite your husband's stroke. The power of the great outdoors to uplift, refresh, and renew is strong and does wonders for us all. I wish you many more lovely days in the sunshine together!
A great story and a lovely photo of you and your husband.
I can relate to you when it comes to selfies........I prefer to be the photographer!
