The water below the Dam was really rolling this morning - they're pouring all that rain accumulation right on through. This pelican must have been just passing through enjoying riding the waves. The large group doesn't usually show up until late January.
Wow, such an impressive bird. I love to watch Pelicans, and this one's a real beauty. You were in the right place at the right time to capture this scene, and the wonderful light accentuates the Pelican's gorgeous feathers. Super capture!
