Very few of the finches have had strong color this year - but this one really stood out. (Did have another good bluebird shot - but . . .) Thought he was pretty enough to share.
@rach_who One reference referred to him as a "sparrow dipped in raspberry juice" and that's really what he looked like. No mention of changes during breeding season - so guess some are just naturally deeper colored than others.
