One of the things I like best about the Widow Skimmers and other dragonflies is that they're so predictable. When they leave a stick, you know they'll return quite shortly to the same place. Does help to capture them!
Another wonderful macro. What a beautiful looking insect this is. Your comment about them returning back to the same spot is very true. They are territorial and do return to a favourite spot. I makes me smile sometimes watching people trying to photograph dragonflies by chasing them up and down their flight paths.
