Jan. 31

I had never looked closely at one of these sweet gum balls- they're actually kind of eerie looking in an interesting sort of way. Just had always thought of them as a nuisance when you had to mow. Now I think they belong in an enchanted forest - or something from space!
Oh, I've never seen anything like this! 365 certainly makes you look at things with new eyes; it's one of the things I like about it so much. Another thing is learning about things in other people's lives - like this!
Cool shot!

They are cool, and you got a nice close up. If you get a chance, check out this book: The Mandala Book: Patterns of the Universe by Lori Bailey Cunningham. It has a lot of beautiful photographs of the same shaped objects in the natural world. This would fit into the category called "radials".

Thank you for the suggestion Allison, I've written it down to check on. I'm sure enjoying 365, too, and learning so much.
