It's funny, the duck and the background look like two different shots. Is this straight out of the camera? Must have a been a bright day. Nice detail in the green head. They are hard to photograph.

Yes, this is straight from the camera - the duck was coming straight to the edge of the lake/pond, not afraid of me at all and I was shooting straight down in the fairly bright afternoon sun.
