Caught these just before the city mowers got to them - in fact, he was nice enough to go around me while I was shooting them! Be another week before they grow back. I've looked on several website of Arkansas wildflowers and can't find their name.

From my mother, the master gardener: It looks like Spring-Beauty, Claytonia virginica or the Carolina one.
