Guess I chose him because they were "matches" as my granddaughter use to say! Certainly bright enough. Took me a while to find him in my reference book.
Such a color coordinated bug! Beautiful color and light in this shot. I came home for lunch and sat on the patio and watched the Monarchs and other butterflies and bumblebees. It was such a treat. I will be sad to see the season end.
@falcon11 Yes, but do you remember how excited we were when we spotted the first of the butterflies when they returned in the Spring? Something to look forward to.
