Photographically, definitely not one of my better shots! But I did want you to know that Ozark, Arkansas has an influx of pelicans for one month every year. They come and land below the dam, stay about three weeks, and are gone until the next year. Unfortunately, I'd need a much larger lens than I own to get a good shot of these beautiful guys.
Sometime we take photos to simply document an event as you have here. I bet it was fun to see them, and I imagine that it is something that you look forward to every year. We are the same with the robins who usually show up late January, but unlike your pelicans, they usually stay.
