Creepy or Not?

My husband, daughter, and granddaughter's reaction to this picture was - eww - I find this fungus kind of neat looking.

This is totally wonderful in large view for textures and light. I would say 'eww' just looking at it but it photographs beautifully.

Very cool...such a vivid yellow. I have never seen a fungus quite like that.

Very cool....but also freaky. I have always found fungi creepy with the exception of mushrooms.

What a great shot, love these, no idea what it is called but I found something very similar last year but it was a deep violent bright orange colour.
