Finch Fun

When the temperature is 16 degrees and blowing light snow, what else can you do besides watch the birds!
What a great capture! love the outspread wings.

I love this! So glad that there are lots of people feeding our bird friends with all of this cold weather. Fav!

Ha! I watch the birds no matter what the temperature is! lol. Nice shot on the wingspan.

Super shot! Wow, 5 of them at once! Fav.

Looks like the Goldfinches must swing between your feeders and mine. The only difference is our temperature here in northern Minnesota. 16F would be considered warm for us! We've already had 50 days of sub zero weather this Winter, including today.

Lovely fanned wing! Amazing

Lovely shot. I think I need to get a bird feeder outside my window.

@moxy This is probably about 20 feet from the window - perfect for shooting the birds - just have to duck occasionally as they try to fly through the window!

This a gorgeous shot, Milanie. I saw it on the trending page when I first logged in and had to come look at it. Love the action of the birds, the one wonderful full wing out on display and the color tones too. A fave for me.

Love the fanned wing and the focus is superb. You have this stop action down. I am going to get a new camera as soon as our tax refund comes through, so I am very excited.

@falcon11 What kind of camera are you looking at? Thank goodness for DSRL - you can't imagine how many times I hit delete to finally get a good stop action :)

I am actually looking at the 3Ti so let me know what you think. I think your photos have been great using it. Any pros or cons to share?
February 7th, 2014
@falcon11 I love it! Basically use the 70-300 zoom and occasionally the wide angle zoom. Haven't found anything I haven't liked about it. Find its set-up real easy to use.
