While others get to see and post beautiful fields full of sunflowers, I'm just happy to see these guys raise up over the fence each summer. One blooming, one coming, and two smaller buds - they grow every year in the corner of their yard.
What an extraordinary capture!!! I love how the tips and edges of everything look like they are lit and glowing!!! Superb lighting, details and composition!!! I would be just as happy only seeing these!!! How lucky for you that your neighbors like to grow them and that they come back each year!! I adore Sunflowers!!!
Lovely shot. Great that you can see each year. I can't seem to grow sunflowers. The chipmunks and birds eat the seeds I plant and if they happen to miss one the rabbits each the young shoots. Haha
I really like the crispness of the focus in this - it brings out the textures of the centre of the flower beautifully - and the portrait format works so well too.
