I keep hoping I'll catch the indigo bunting with these blue colors - have a hard time telling the indigo, the bluebird, and this blue grosbeak apart until I can get close enough. Their blue sure catches your eye. Have seen - but not caught - all 3 in the same area.
Gorgeous! That one is still on my must see list. I saw the indigo once but so far away I could barely see it in my bins. Haven't seen the Eastern bluebird since I was a child in grade school.
So pretty. Someone told me recently that the way to remember the Blue Grosbeak is to that they wear blue jeans. I believe this refers to the chestnut patch on their wings being like the brown label on a pair of Levis.
