Some of the Bristly Sunflowers are still around - though they always tend to face the direction I can't get to! But the back is real interesting, too. Congratulations to this week's TT photographers - That is probably the most awesome group of shots I've seen in a long time.
I really like the way this sunflower is turning away. It is a reminder of why they are called sunflowers - always looking towards the sun. A lovely shot.
I read somewhere that sunflower heads follow the sun during the course of the day - not sure about that. But the backs of sunflowers have a lovely structure in their own right, as can be seen here.
