Or so it felt. On a whim, I stopped at a lake with a nature trail going around it - never been there before but I thought 4-1/2 miles was doable. Well, after the first 50 yards, it narrowed to about 15" - big rocks and tree roots - it was a definite challenge - quite up and down. But I made it and would do it again! This was one of the crossings - guess you'd better not go if it has rained recently.
