Surprise in the Backyard

Bill would have loved this! Looked out and spotted this hawk in the tree in the backyard. Not another bird in sight fortunately - they spotted him way before I did. Stayed there watching for about 10 minutes then flew off.

Beautiful image. This happened to me one day too - I looked out at our cherry tree and there was a hawk sitting on it - first time I've ever seen that. I knew I wasn't quick enough with the camera and so just enjoyed looking at it.
