Never paid much attention to the inside of a tulip - always just enjoyed their color and petals. This time I looked inside at the pistil and stamen - how simple they are - liked the glow they tried to show here. Another rainy day spent working on a jigsaw puzzle while watching the Olympics. Learned all about curling!
Well done! This brings back memories of my first year on 365, learning to notice more, and having tulips in the house. What you've done, that I didn't know how to do then, is use the right focal point and aperture for DoF!
Great macro shot. Just beautiful. I took some tulip shots today. But I could get too close to them and the ones I could weren’t quite open enough yet. Thought I haven’t checked them out on the monitor yet. But if one looks half as good as this one , I’ll be thrilled.
This is so beautiful! It looks like an abstract painting. We loved the curling team and how great they were on the podium after their win! Who knew there was so much to curling?!
@radiogirl No tripod - I own one but never think to take it out! I "think" this may be the one I used the macro setting for - tried it several ways, and I'm not positive which one this one was. Most I was just hand holding and zooming in trying to keep it still.
