My great-grandson and I were at the playground when this Red Spotted Purple (what a strange name) started flitting around - never landing. Jerik chased him trying to catch him for a steady 10 minutes before he stopped. Then had to keep Jerik from squishing him :)
He is a handsome one! I don't know what it is with "purple" names in nature- so far every "purple" critter I can think of does not actually have the color purple any where on it! Good shot!
