This is (was) the Whitman Tourist Cabin built in 1933 of fieldstone and cut sandstone. What I'm curious about is the top right picture - You can see it's shape in the chimney to its left. There is a ledge at the bottom of it. Cannot imagine what it was used for. This was said to be the first "tourist cabin" in Arkansas. The Corps of Engineers bought it the early 1960's and the city used it as it's Chamber of Commerce for 20 years. It now stands empty.
