Must Have Been a Fancy Dinner Party

Nice on black. Would you believe this is a toothpick holder - at least that's what my mother told me. Belonged to my great grandmother - not something for everyday life :) but sure like the cut glass.

Oh it’s lovely! I have seen this holder in the past and yes it held colored toothpicks at a dinner party. Much too pretty to be used for that ordinary purpose. Smile.

Not only did they have these fancy cut glass toothpick holders, I remember my grandmothers having these little tiny bowls with little tiny spoons that were salt dishes- beautiful blue glass for the bowl part and a silver holder and spoon- very elegant! Good reflection shot.
