This female Baltimore Oriole showed up about the same time last year - they stay by the river most of the summer, but are well back in the leaves of the trees. You can hear them, and spot their orange if they fly - just can't get a shot! This 10 minutes of posting is still the best I'm able to do with my neck - surely, it will ease up soon!
Our current cold spell is really delaying the birds I’m used to seeing come through this time of year…hope that changes soon. Nice oriole capture. Hope you feel better!
@jb030958 It's a specific oriole feeder - but the hummingbirds use it, too. It has two indentions to put in grape jelly which the orioles love and then 2 spots to get the sugar water from.. There was nothing left of that orange after a day.
Oh because it looks very similar to my hummingbird feeder. I have not seen any hummingbirds at all and I don’t think we have any orioles around here either. I would have never guessed they liked grape jelly! Hope you are back to 100% soon!
