This Muscovy Duck (had to look that one up) has awfully pretty colors, but it's one strange looking bird!

They are VERY ugly. We had one on the lake...WE called it UD. Ugly Duck. IT hung out with geese all the time. He came back a few seasons...but he disappeared last year. He had green mallard type feathers too. We researched them and found out that the "officials" encourage you to shoot and kill them...they are pests or something. Poor Ugly Ducks. haha

They are one of the ugliest ducks by far. And become quite pesky if you feed them. They are more of a nuisance bird here . Very nice capture!

Strange is the right word but I had never seen one like this and find it utterly amazing how many different ducks we have in the world. She has great colors though!
