Icy Feathers

Had another chance at some hoar frost this morning - just in a few places. Can't wait to catch it wide spread. Some of those icy strands get pretty long.

Fabulous. Feathery is a good descriptor. We had fog this morning with frost on the vehicles but no hoar frost on the trees.

This is a lovely design & I can see the frost is really thick in places. On the left of the picture I can see a whole lot of little pearls clinging to the stem I just wonder how we
can capture the sparkles from the sun....Excellent shot Milanie....

@mikekutz I wish I had a macro, too. This is just with my bridge camera which I have come to dearly love. I can get the hoar frost and turn around and catch the woodpecker on the top of the utility pole banging away with nothing but changing the zoom.
