What is he up To?

Not my favorite bird, but do find starlings' markings interesting. Couldn't figure out what that one was doing. Tried adding a little background to cut the (or add to) drab look.

Yes their plumage is interesting. Could it be picking off lice ?? I think they are prone to carrying the pest. Nicely captured.

Just checking out the competition I guess. They do have interesting markings, at times they even show an iridescent green but in summer they have no color to speak off...

I like your added editing; it compliments the image well. It's a shame starlings have landed on the unliked list because in all honesty, they're beautiful birds in their own right. But if they're anything like the detestable cow bird that throws robin eggs out of their nest and put their own in instead, well, they aren't going to win many points with me. Bottom line here tho; great picture of these feathered creatures.
