Mini Roses - Wide Aperture Challenge by milaniet

Mini Roses - Wide Aperture Challenge

Learned something today that I hadn't noticed before - when I set the aperture at its widest but then zoomed in on the roses it changed the aperture. Never noticed that before. So what started at f3.5 wound up at f5.6. Will have to try with the nifty 50!
Beautiful capture!

Nice capture. I was grocery shopping with hubby today and hinted at the roses. Maybe he'll pick up on that for Valentines Day.

Interesting observation. Wonder if that led to the soft, blurry effect. Lovely shot

All my lenses except my 50mm portrait lens (which is a wide aperture lens) do that and it can be aggravating sometimes especially in low light! Love my portrait lens. Beautiful shot!

Beuatiful roses! Zoom lenses change apperture when you zoom in. That is why it has smallest aperture ...-... on it. All zoomed out it has the lowest value, all zoomed in it has the highest number as lowest value (if this makes sense ;))
