Learned something today that I hadn't noticed before - when I set the aperture at its widest but then zoomed in on the roses it changed the aperture. Never noticed that before. So what started at f3.5 wound up at f5.6. Will have to try with the nifty 50!
@mzbull Makes a lovely Valentines Present and great photo op after! Bought this plant for $3.33 at the grocery store and am getting my money's worth trying shots.
All my lenses except my 50mm portrait lens (which is a wide aperture lens) do that and it can be aggravating sometimes especially in low light! Love my portrait lens. Beautiful shot!
Beuatiful roses! Zoom lenses change apperture when you zoom in. That is why it has smallest aperture ...-... on it. All zoomed out it has the lowest value, all zoomed in it has the highest number as lowest value (if this makes sense ;))
