He Must Have Found Something Good

This Hairy Woodpecker spent about half the day working on the pecan tree - must have found some interesting stuff in that bark! Don't get to take his picture very often so he won out over the many cardinal shots I took. There's something about cardinals and snow . . .

Beautiful capture....but I think it is a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker! Don't see them much so not sure if that is the right variety.
