Tried using my book to identify this duck but have decided he's a mixed breed - several different kinds make this pond their year round home - think we've had a little intermingling! There's just a little hint of that blue feather peeking out on the side.
So much texture and pattern here...love it! Great sighting...it's a handsome, interesting duck. There's something so relaxing about watching ducks on the water.
