Check on black. This is at the peak of the Pig Trail (also known as Hwy. 23) in Arkansas. It's been closed for several months due to a slide right here - road gone! What I liked best were the skies this morning - beautiful view.
What a beautiful way to start the day! Such glorious light! Curious...are the leaves in this area usually slow to change? In comparison to your other lavishly colored shots, the trees here are just showing a hint of Fall color.
@janetb This area typically doesn't show as much color - maybe more pine and spruce here is part of the problem - thinking back, don't think I've ever gotten a colorful shot from this pull-off - but it sure has a view!
@milaniet Oh, yes, the view is spectacular! Lots of evergreens makes sense. Here at home, our hill is often slower to get colorful than the surrounding area. 'Why' is a mystery we've never been able to solve.
