Sam's Throne

This one's for Sandy @skstein. Took this last week when we went touring Arkansas for the last of the fall color. This is a view of Sam's Throne - though it's not nearly as close to that rock bluff I'm standing on as it looks here. It's said that Sam preached from atop this peak to the valley below.

Ohhh, how I would love to be on that bluff gazing out at all of this incredible beauty! I love the rocky foreground, which gives the scene context. Even from here in my chair, I just keep gazing and gazing...wow!

@rickster549 Arkansas has two mountain chains - the Ozarks and the Ouachitas . While they're not really tall mountains like out west, they really are beautiful.
