What on earth is a Wild Carrot (or Queen Anne's Lace) doing trying to bloom at this time of year? Only found two like this - but I don't ever remember seeing them this late (except in the dead stage) Surely it must be something else.
Beautiful close up shot. Great perspective. I have seen a lot of this overlapping in the seasons this year. My tall yellow primrose bloomed up to almost the last day before the killing freeze.
