I don't do portraits if at all possible - but last fall my neighbor's granddaughter wanted me to shoot some pictures for her Senior Year shots. Some actually came out pretty well. This weekend I turned a couple into b&w since that was the lesson - like what it did.
The tonal variations and contrasts make for a very nice b&w and I feel as if I'm really engaging with your subject because her eyes are well emphasised - she appears to be looking right at us and smiling. She also looks really relaxed. Lovely work, Milanie.
