Revisiting Colorado 4

Just a rock - a BIG rock - nestled in the aspen at Old Powderhorn on the way up to the Grand Mesa. Think I've climbed up to this rock (and got my granddaughter to climb up on it so I could take her picture) every year we went to Grand Junction. Just knew I was at peace when I'd get there.
Love this shot in B&W. I thought it was a bear at first. A fav

Nice capture. I also thought it was a bear at first glance. :-)

Reminds me of photos from era of the Civil War. Don't know why....

At first glance I thought the big rock was a big bear. Either way, it's a beautiful photo, and nicely set off by the wide frame.

This is a lovely shot. I would contrast up the woods so there is more shape in that part of the image.

@falcon11 Not sure why I didn't see that - like it much better - your suggestions are always just right and get me trying to remember to check those things. thanks.

I glad I open each and every photograph to get the big picture since from the feed it looked like a stone bridge with the rock being the open part allowing water to run under it. :/ I specially like the aspens in black and white.
