This lovely flower is that of a spinach tree (aka tree spinach, Mayan spinach, or simply chaya). Unfortunately chaya is very cold sensitive and freezes most years, so that I often start out the season with a new cutting. This one was covered during the last freezes so it's currently about 4 ft. tall. Bees and butterflies love the flowers, and I think they're pretty cool too!
