I'm quite sure this is a gary oak tree and it is in Pipers Lagoon Park in Nanaimo. I was close under this tree and with my wide angle lens I couldn’t get the whole tree so I decided to do a panorama and stitch the images together. There is a person on the bottom right but since it is a wide angle shot it is still hard to get the true sense of the size of the tree.
