I went up the mountain to darker skies and thought it might be possible to see the milky way, but it was still too faint. I took this long exposure in the parking lot and you can see a lot more stars than yesterday’s image. It also looks like there might be a couple of meteorite trails in there.
Thank you for the comments. @ryan161 , I was using a feature on the camera to shoot light trails and the exposure was in the neighborhood of 15 minutes. That was my planned length, but the battery indicator started flashing so I stopped a little before to be sure it would save.
