Surprise! And not a very nice one. We get these guys turning up every spring. I found some in our BBQ grill that I haven't gotten rid of them yet. Great photo! I cam relate. :-)
@pyrrhula@dannydavies Thank you for the comments. I don't like to spray either if it is not necessary. My husband sprayed the nest after dark and I'm not sure if the wasp was even there anymore. My husband had to do it since he needed to work in the box and had to get the nest out of it.
