Danny - It is a dianthus. I looked up Sweet William and they look the same so I guess it is just different names for the same flower.
beautiful capture! sweet william is the common name for a type of dianthus. this one looks like a dianthus we would grow here as an annual, not specifically sweet william but certainly very similar.
@claireuk These flowers did survive the snow. We only had snow Saturday morning and it all melted. We haven't had a hard freeze yet so some annuals are still hanging around.
A dandelion...are you serious? This is a beautiful color with great clarity! Love that our flowers are hanging on. We still have not had a hard freeze so some new roses bloomed today.
