Old empty building by mittens

Old empty building

This building is probably going to be torn down which is kind of sad. I've been told the white door is a popular place for people to have their pictures taken.
i like everything about this! it would be a shame to tear it down.

Very nice! I love the colors of the sky! It's sad to see cool buildings like get demolished when they're no longer needed.

You're getting really good at the HDR. Looks great!

What a pity, great building
March 18th, 2012
That is so sad. I wish that people could cuse a little bit of creativity and find new uses for old buildings

Sad that this old building will be torn down. It is beautiful and I love your photo, Marilyn. I am tired of so many changes here as so much farmland was built on with many neighborhoods and older homes torn down to put in wider streets. Nice we have what we have.

Can`t the owner not find a new / other use for it ? Like houses for example.? It``s a pity to turns it down. In Holland it will be squat in by homeless people. Love the pic of it

great HDR processing!!
March 18th, 2012
Great processing, really brings out the texture in the building!
March 18th, 2012
Probably a great backdrop! Why can't this be turned into a couple of houses instead of being torn down? I would love to live in a building like this.
March 18th, 2012
Looks like the building is not in that bad a shape...why are they going to demolish it?

Thank you so much everyone. The building is owned by the municipality and they have been trying to figure out something it could be used for but so far no one has agreed on anything. Also I understand there are some structural problems with it. So most likely it will be torn down. I think it is sad, too.
