Cemetery 1

My husband and I drove through a very pretty cemetery so I took a bunch of pictures there and I may show a little series of them.

Don't you wonder about the history of the people being memorialized by these beautiful monuments? It is interesting to meander through cemeteries, especially the older parts of them. Looking forward to seeing more of what you captured.

lovely shot - when I was a child I had a fascination for cemeteries as I had a very vivid imagination and I conjured up in my mind all sorts of things about the people buried there. There was a particularly old headstone and I imagined that the grave was that of a pirate! It makes me sound a bit of a nutcase doesn't it! LOL

Cemeteries are really beautiful places, well, most of them are. They are wonderful to take walks through and seeing the headstones are always beautiful!! I'm amazed at the lengths people go to, to honor their loved ones!! This is a beautiful monument here!! Something we don't see is snow, so this is quite a treat!! Wondeful capture! FAV!
